The Building Construction Leadership Team (BCLT) acts upon the recommendations of the Long Range Planning Team to create the physical facilities necessary to carry out the ministries of Avon United Methodist Church.  The BCLT commissions the creation and maintenance of master planning, commissions the creation of building plans in accordance with the master plan, obtains local church and district approval for plans, coordinates with the Finance Team and Church Council to raise money for planned buildings, works with all ministry areas of the church during detail planning to assure the facilities meet current and anticipated needs and is responsible for proper construction of the planned facilities.  In addition to working with local church ministry teams, the BCLT will work with the district committee on church location and building, town, township, county and state agencies that have approval authority over the installation of such facilities and the utilities providing services to the facilities. 

The BCLT endeavors to keep the congregation informed of its progress throughout planning and construction phases of all projects. 

The BCLT meetings are open to any interested member of the congregation and have traditionally have had time in each meeting agenda for input from the congregation.
