Laity Sunday, October 15, 2006

On Sunday, October 15, 2006, Robin Dillon will bring us the morning message in our three worship services on Laity Sunday. Join us at 8:15 a.m. (traditional music), or 9:30 a.m. (praise music), or 10:45 a.m. (traditional music). Robin is attending Methodist Theological School of Ohio in Delaware, Ohio this Fall 2006. She will be a full-time student in Spring 2007 working on a dual degree of Master of Divinity and Master of Arts  in Counseling Ministries with a goal of serving the local church as an ordained Elder. Robin works full-time in a medical related field. Robin was a teacher in Philadelphia, prior to moving to Avon, Indiana. Her parents are Bob and Kathy Dillon. She volunteers numerous hours at Avon United Methodist Church; currently serving as chair of the Education Team.

Dirk Caldwell, Director of Youth and Lay Ministries, is a seminary student working on a Master of Divinity degree with the goal of being an ordained Elder and serving as a military Chaplain. Dirk is a full-time student at Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis. Dirk is married to Cathy, and they have three children. They live in Jamestown, Indiana. Dirk will begin his 7th year at Avon United Methodist Church in January.  Dirk will bring us the message at the Evening Service, New Beginnings, at 7:00 p.m.
