WAYS TO GIVE

  • ONLINE: Giving online is safe, fast and easy. Donations can be one-time or set up as recurring. 
  • MOBILE GIVING: Giving from the Pushpay App is safe, fast and easy; utilizing a resource already at your fingertips. Donations can be one-time or set up as recurring.
  • TEXT: When you send “avon” to 77977, you will receive a one-time reply containing a link to give to Avon United Methodist Church (1msg/request).   • OFFERING PLATE: Simply place cash or checks in the offering plate at any service.
  • DROP OFF: Drop your donation in the black mail slot outside the Treasurer’s office in the church office.
  • BY MAIL: Mail your donations to Treasurer, Avon United Methodist Church, 6850 E. US Hwy 36, Avon, IN, 46123.

ONLINE/MOBILE GIVING FAQS

What is online giving?


Online giving is a way to make donations electronically by automatic deductions from your checking or savings account, debit card or credit card.
 

Is giving online safe?

Yes! In fact, it is less risky than checks, since checks can be lost, stolen or destroyed. It also has an extremely high rate of accuracy.
 

Do I have to set up an account?

If you wish to set up a recurring payment, you will need to set up an account.  Having an account also allows you an easy way to review all of your past donations made via the online site or the mobile giving app.  An account is NOT required to make a single donation.
 

How do I set up an account?

After you make your first donation, the system will automatically ask you if you wish to store your information to make the process faster and easier the next time.  If you select “Yes”, you will be prompted to select a password.  This is all that is required to create your account. 

 

How do I get the mobile app?

There are two ways to get the mobile app. 
 
1. Make an online donation from the Donate here button. Include your mobile phone number in the information requested on the short form.  After you have completed the donation, you will receive a text message asking if you wish to download the app.
 
2. Text “pushpay” to 77977 and you will receive a link to download the app. 
 
 

How is my contribution automatically deducted?

Once you complete the information online, the contribution amount you specify will automatically be transferred from your selected bank account, debit card or credit card to the church’s bank account.
 

When will my contribution be deducted from my account?

On the date you specify.



If I do not write checks, how do I keep my checkbook balance straight?


You simply record your contribution in your check register on the appropriate date, since your contributions are made at a pre-established time.

Without a cancelled check, how can I prove I made my deduction?


Your bank statements give you an itemized list of electronic transactions. It is your proof of contributing. Your financial contributions can be viewed from your AUMC.ME account at any time.  Yearly contribution statements are also sent out in January.
 

What does it cost?


NOTHING and you save the cost of the check.
 

Can I cancel at any time?


Yes, you can cancel your authorization of recurring transfers at any time through your online account.
