What should I expect when I visit?
We here at AUMC desire that you experience God in new and exciting ways. When you come to worship with us, you will experience a community of faith that looks to Sundays and being in each other’s presence. You can come and participate in great music, encouraging messages, welcoming people, and the feeling of God's loving presence.
We have no expectations how you come, so dress how you feel comfortable, and only give when you desire, because we want you to know you are received as a guest. We realize that any visit to any church takes courage, and bring with you questions so please contact us with any you have.
Who will meet me when I visit on Sunday?
At our Sanctuary Entrance located at Door #1, Betty Mabis and Patsy Porter who both share leadership on our Newcomer Team will greet you. On Sunday mornings, you will find them in our foyer (or in church language called a Narthex) near the Welcome Desk and the front door. They will do their best to make you comfortable and find your way around. Betty, Patsy or one of their volunteer greeters are able to show you around our church facility, Sunday school class, or to the sanctuary where we meet for worship. Please take time to sign in, if you wish to be contacted by one of our staff people and on your first visit we have a gift bag for you when you leave.
