Develop as a Disciple – Discipleship is a life-long journey of walking with Christ towards maturity and unity with other believers for the sake of the world. Thankfully, through the Holy Spirit, Jesus is with us throughout the journey (Matthew 28:20). Continue seeking the Lord and his will each day as you study scripture and pray.
Monday – Read Joshua 1:1-11, then listen to a favorite song or sing as a way to help you worship the Lord as you pray adoring, honoring, and praising God.
Tuesday – Read Joshua 2 and confess your sins to the Lord.
Wednesday – Read Joshua 3 and offer thanks to God Almighty, the source of our lives and blessings.
Thursday – Read Joshua 4 and lift up prayers and petitions to God on behalf of others and yourself. Consider praying for those in need around the world, brothers and sisters in Christ, our denomination, the community, neighbors, family members, and friends.
Friday – Read Joshua 24:1-15 and sit, kneel, stand, walk, or drive in silence as you wait for the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s message to you. In other words, listen.
Saturday – Rest, enjoy recreation, and reflect upon the past week. Re-read verses or phrases that the Holy Spirit draws your attention towards. Share a prayer based on the ACTS acronym that includes, Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication (praying for the needs of others and yourself).

Develop as a Disciple – One of the ways we grow in our relationship with God and become more mature as followers of Jesus is by spending time praying and studying scripture daily. As you read and study the verses listed below, invite Christ to speak to you through the words of scripture by saying, “Speak, Lord, your servant is listening” (1 Samuel 3:10b).
Monday – Read Jesus’ conversation and teaching from John 3:1-21 and pray for the people of the world.
Tuesday – Read Jesus’ words from John 14:15-31 and pray for the Lord to reveal a word, phrase, or verse that is specifically for you for today.
Wednesday – Read Jesus’ words from John 16:12-15 and pray that the Holy Spirit guides your thoughts, words, and actions throughout the day.
Thursday – Read Acts 1:4-9 and pray for those who are not yet believers and haven’t been baptized. Pray that God uses Christians around the world as witnesses for Christ. Ask the Lord for an opportunity to be a witness for Jesus today, and trust the Holy Spirit to provide you with the right words at the right time.
Friday – Read Acts 2:1-21 and pray that the Holy Spirit will speak through Jesus’ disciples here on the earth now. Ask God to give us a holy boldness and to perform signs and wonders that reveal His power. Use the disciples’ prayer from Acts 4:29-31 as a guide.
Saturday – Rest, enjoy Recreation, and Reflect upon the past week. Re-read any verses that the Holy Spirit brings to your attention. Think about how you saw, heard, or experienced God working in your life, or in the lives of others, during the week. Praise the Lord and thank him for what he has done.
